We won every town and earned approximately 75 percent of the vote.
To my family, our volunteers, supporters, donors, and everyone who voted, made a call, put up a sign, sent a text or talked to a neighbor: thank you.
But this wasn’t the finish line.
It was the starting line.
Now we unite, expand our base, and build the grassroots team that can win in November.
And I’m asking for your help.
This campaign has always been powered by people. $5 matters. $25 matters. An hour of your time matters. Make calls. Knock on doors. Put up a sign. Forward this article. Bring a friend.

Freedom Is Worth Showing Up For
At our victory celebration, I joked that I was glad I only had to prepare one speech—unlike General Dwight D. Eisenhower on the eve of D-Day.
But there was a serious point behind it.
Think about those Americans approaching the beaches of Normandy. They knew what might await them.
And they went anyway.
They were willing to risk everything for freedom.
We’re not being asked to storm a beach.
We’re being asked to give a little time, contribute what we can, talk to our neighbors—and vote.
Sometimes we simply have to get off our asses, get everyone else off theirs, and show up.
Because freedom doesn’t sustain itself.
Connecticut Is Worth Fighting For
I’m tired of watching people leave Connecticut.
I’m tired of watching our young people graduate and leave, families wonder whether they can afford to stay, and seniors question whether they can remain in the communities they’ve called home for decades.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
I want our children to build their futures here. I want our seniors to stay. I want businesses to grow. And I want those who left to have a reason to come home.
That’s why we’re fighting for federal solutions to local problems—affordability, healthcare, energy, infrastructure, jobs and opportunity.
The primary is over.
75 percent. Every town. The people have spoken.
Now we need Republicans, independents, unaffiliated voters—and everyone who believes Connecticut and America can do better.
Give $5. Give an hour. Bring one person.
Anything counts. Everyone counts. Every vote counts.
Those who came before us sacrificed far more for freedom.
We’re simply being asked to show up for it.

Dr G is right… we just got back from Normandy. It was very sobering standing at Omaha Beach. It’s tranquil now, but the carnage remains real looking at the sea wall and then the hills beyond you knew, you just knew how terrifying it was to be on that stretch of sand. If those young men to tight and die for freedom, we can spend the time to send the truly awful Jim Himes back to his private life. Democrats are embracing a political philosophy that has no place in America. Let’s tell them what we think of it.
