This Doctor Stands Up for Our Vets and our Defenders of Freedom
Earlier this year, I stood up for Veterans and Italian Americans at a Board of Ed Meeting in Stamford and wrote an article, “First They Came For....... Our Veterans And Our Italian Americans In Stamford” (see Article).
This was in response to the Stamford Board of Ed and its removal of Veterans Day and Columbus Day from the School holidays in the Stamford Public Schools. To remove Columbus Day and Veterans Day is simply a way to erase our history and many schools have already eliminated the observance of these holidays.
Veterans Day is a clear reminder that freedom is not free.
Removal of Columbus Day is an attempt to erase our rich Italian heritage and culture woven into the fabric of America.
About 150 upset Veterans and Americans (many of them were Italian-American Veterans) showed up to voice our opposition. I attended as this is an important issue to me. There were only two sitting republicans present there (Tom O’Day and Ryan Fazio) and one candidate for State Rep (Tina Courpas). THERE WERE NO DEMOCRATS THAT CAME TO STAND UP FOR VETS AND THE ITALIAN AMERICANS.
Don’t forget those names in November but remember GOLDSTEIN on August 13th!!
In my last run for Congress two years ago and throughout this campaign, we had tremendous support from our Veterans and that has only continued as we visit VFWs and meet veterans on the campaign trail.
We are hearing stories about how veterans are ignored with health care issues from the VA. These veterans are disgusted that they have life-long injuries that are not being cared for while they see illegals that cross the border and get treated better than they are with better housing and healthcare. The Democrats have not only abandoned the working class but they have fully abandoned those who have served our nation.
Over the weekend, we spoke to a vet with PTSD and he is lucky to get treated as he understands the paperwork. Most veterans do not have that same experience as they cannot navigate the bureaucracy.
Other veterans I spoke to this weekend and over the course of the campaign have housing issues. They can no longer afford to live in the district on their fixed incomes as housing prices have increased along with the other cost of living increases of food, electricity and gas. We are at a crossroads where our veterans are being looked over by their nation that they served.
While America and the Democrats abandon its veterans, the veterans are helping each other through support groups. We met a vet in Oxford who is part of the Connecticut chapter of the Combat Veteran Motorcycle Association 31-2 (See their website).
This Veteran gave us a wristband of this group that says “I Support Combat Vets!” I responded back that I support you as well and thanked him for his service.
VETERANS ARE THE LUCKY SOLDIERS WHO MAKE IT HOME AFTER DEFENDING OUR CONSTITUTION AND OUR WAY OF LIFE. THEY DESERVE BETTER.
To come back and not be welcome home and be treated worse than illegals is disgusting as the excessive illegal immigration under the Biden/Himes Administration has changed the landscape of this nation. We have a border problem in Connecticut and under the Biden/Himes era, Connecticut has become a border state. As our border is invaded from the south, there has been a rise of anti-American sentiment from such illegal immigrants along with people that live in America that denounce this great nation.
Old Glory Is Under Attack
Over the past week and over the past few months, our American Flag has been attacked while the progressives seem to think Old Glory is a symbol of oppression. We have seen pro-Palestinian supporters across this nation burn down the flag on college campuses and last week in front of Congress to protest American support for Israel.
This above photo appeared of an unnamed man that has now been called a hero because he rescued an American flag from burning at a pro-Hamas demonstration outside Union Station on Wednesday, July 24. (@RichieMcGinniss via X) - (Source)

WHAT ABOUT THE VETS?
Earlier this year, I met Robert Wilkie, the former Secretary of Veterans Affairs under the the Trump Administration. He is a remarkable man and really improved patient outcomes for our veterans and focused efforts on the issues that really impact our veterans like suicide prevention, opioid abuse and addiction. Wilkie also worked to create educational opportunities for veterans.
During his time as VA secretary, Wilkie helped improve the VA’s performance of vital health services to our 9.5 million veterans; he did this while restoring trust in the VA health care system by improving outpatient services and bringing VA services to veterans in their local communities under the implementation of the MISSION Act. Wilkie helped modernize the VA’s health record system. Our healthcare system needs more modernization. Our Veterans need to have less paperwork and more care.
As a physician, health administration and recordkeeping costs are some of the largest costs of healthcare and my platform is focused on reducing healthcare costs by reducing the administrative burden and excessive paperwork that does not improve patient outcomes. I believe that healthcare costs have at least a trillion dollars of admin waste that could be eliminated without sacrificing patient outcomes.
I will certainly make Veteran Issues a priority on day one if elected to Congress. I will do that on my trip to the border to shut it down unlike Kamala Harris our border czar who shirked all responsibilities.
On August 13th, Stand up for the physician candidate who wants to improve healthcare for our veterans and their other needs by Voting GOLDSTEIN ON AUGUST 13. - Early Voting Starts August 5-11.
I would be honored by your support. I am the People’s Candidate and in politics its about serving you the people.
Sharing is Caring - so if you like the message please pass it on.
Thank you for your continued support.
