On July 4, 1776 the Declaration of Independence was signed. It was a bold and courageous document that supported the belief that the people, not a king, should rule themselves through a government by the people and for the people. The Colonists fought a long a bloody war to defeat the British and create American Democracy. Life has not been a smooth ride since then. There have been numerous wars and upheavals that placed our democracy at risk. Men and women fought and died to preserve democracy and our country. Today we face a new kind of challenge to our democracy from within. It is the socialist/communist revolution from within. The first battle in this war has begun with the NYC mayoral primary victory of Mamdani.
He wants to create a socialist/communist takeover of New York. This will destroy our democracy and free market economy. We need to fight the war against socialism not with guns and blood but instead at the ballot box with our vote.
The battle has come to Connecticut, and we must use the local and upcoming state and federal elections to send a message that we reject socialism/communism.
Vote and campaign for pro-democracy candidates.
